Mallorca has become one of the most popular destinations for cycle-tourism lovers. And no wonder, since, of its 1,250 km of roads, approximately 700 km are lanes and secondary roads that run through both mountains and plains, which makes them ideal for enjoying cycling while looking at the beautiful scenery of the island. Roads that make up unique routes with different modalities and difficulty levels. From itineraries for experienced cyclists with quite considerable uphill stretches to others more appropriate for amateurs and for those who are just starting out.
For this reason, it is not unusual that Mallorca receives thousands of tourists every year, drawn by the many cycle-tourism possibilities available on the island. Added to this is the tranquillity of the routes in low season and the impressive variety of scenery that can be found in this little piece of paradise. There are hundreds of enthusiasts, especially in February and March, who visit the island with this intention, attracted by the beauty of these country roads that run between towns full of charm, where you can immerse yourself in the traditions, culture and gastronomy of Mallorca.
The island is ideal for enjoying wonderful mountain scenery, trails and really interesting country roads.
And not only anonymous athletes come to the island, but it is also visited by professional cyclists who always leave with very positive opinions. Even European competition teams come to Mallorca to train and prepare the season due to the optimal conditions found here.
With this in mind, public bodies have carried out, in recent years, numerous tasks to condition, and add signs to, roads. Furthermore, it should be noted that in the areas through which the cycle tourism routes run in Mallorca, we can find a wide variety of shops and hotels well prepared to meet the needs of even the most demanding athletes, as is the case with our establishment, the Hotel Miramar. We offer everything from a bicycle repair service to special menus for athletes to a massage service.
